Activities
The Swedish Investment Fund Association was founded in 1979 to promote fund activities in Sweden. The Association is a trade organisation whose purpose is to look after the collective interests of management companies and fund savers alike in all dealings with the public authorities and the legislature.
As the recognised representative for the industry, the official consultative body and shaper of public opinion, the Association has an important mission in lobbying politicians and decision makers. The goal is to have rules for fund operations in Sweden that are functional, stable and uniformly applicable and furthermore, to have an industry which enhances its legitimacy and credibility through self-regulation.
Another important mission is to provide basic and extended information to the fund saving general public. One way in which this is done is by assembling, systemizing and distributing daily unit prices to the media and to different data bases. Statistics on fund saving are also presented regularly.
The Swedish Investment Funds Association also provides a number of different publications.
