EFAMA
EFAMA (European Fund and Asset Management Association) or the European Federation of Investment Funds and Companies, represents the investment funds industry in the EU Member States, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Turkey. Through its national associations the Federation represents about 900 management companies and 41,000 investment funds with EUR 4.5 trillion in investment assets at the end of 2003.
The goal of the federation is to:
- maintain a high level of investor protection and encourage investor confidence,
- preserve the integrity of the European investment funds industry,
- promote the highest ethical standards in all areas of the fund business and
- be the competent and representative business partner of regulators, other associations, the press and the public in and outside Europe.
