Distribution and commissions – the German perspective

Germany is the biggest fund market in Europe with strong distributors. The German investment advice market is dominated by commission-based advice. Clients also have the option to use fee-based investment advice on an independent basis, but this is much less common. There is a discussion going on in Germany, like in Sweden, about whether a ban on commissions should be introduced and what the pros and cons would be.

This webinar will give us some insights about the German market and the ongoing German debate. How does the distribution of UCITS funds work in Germany? How are the Mifid II and IDD regulations implemented? And how would more restricted commissions effect the German market?
